Dayna Bowen, Coordinator of Children's Ministry
This one is actually a lot tougher for me than most people! I actually have 2 names, Dana Gilbertson & Dayna Bowen. I will respond to whatever you call me, as long as it is nice! However, I will soon be done with having multiple names, because I will become a Dayna Condy!
Family:
Like I said before, I will soon become a Dayna Condy. I am engaged to my awesome fiancé, Bryan Condy, and we will be getting married in May 2009.
Background:
I am a 3rd generation Santa Cruz girl and have lived here in the county for my whole life. I have gone through the Scotts Valley school system and taken some courses out at Cabrillo. What more is there to say? I guess I just keep truck’in along!
When you’re off the GBC campus what would we find you doing?
Off the campus? You mean we are supposed to leave? Just kidding! You would probably find me watching football on the couch (Go Bears!), grabbing a bite to eat at Tucson Taqueria, or just taking a walk and tossing the frisbee around.
What is your passion?
I am passionate about bringing God back into family relationships and helping families to see their time together as their first and most important ministry. I strongly believe that parents who spend time with their kids, loving, teaching, and keeping involved with them, are the key to raising successful & happy children who will want to seek God out on their own. I also have a passion for encouraging kids to take hold of their personal faith and to use the skills that they have been given (God designed them for a purpose!) to make a real difference in the world. And they can do it!
Tell us a about a little known talent that you have:
I am not what one would call particularly ‘talented’ by way of secret amazing talents, but I can twirl a mean hula hoop! I can also walk and hula hoop at the same time! (I know, amazing!)
